just returned from a short backpacking trip near the crater lakes in colorado. it was a great time filled with lots of hiking, reading, eating, and contemplating.  we camped near the biggest lake around 10,600ft. the second day i did a solo day hike up to a ridge on the continental divide at about 11,600ft. here are some photos: misty morning the site uncle’s labradoodle shakespeare with copious wildflowers looking down on my hike up the ridge view from the top, looking east
